Ironically, as a medical student i seldom or rather that i am not allowed to keep long nails and wear nail polish. Hence, i have to keep aside my beautiful collection of nail polishes aside during school and only try them on my toe nails. Well, since i am having a long break right now, boredom strikes, so i decided to paint on a simple french manicure that you can wear daily or even events and dates.
Products that i used for this design |
a) Base Coat from The Face Shop
b) Top Coat from Elianto
c) Peachy Beige No. 24 from Dierli
d) White No. 20 from Dierli
1. Apply a layer of base coat over your nails. |
*Absolutely in love with the thin brush from The Face Shop's Face It Series. |
2. Apply 2 layers of the peachy beige color on top. |
3. Using the white color, gently glide onto the tips of your nails, covering entire or a little bit more than your natural nail line. |
4. Finally, add a layer of top coat over your nails to give a finishing touch. |
And tadaa, there you go, a simple yet elegant french manicure. |
i) When building up layers of polish, make sure the bottom layer is dry before you continue. This is to make sure that your nails look perfectly smooth and even after all the layers.
ii) Remember to invest on base coat as it helps to protect your nails from the chemicals in nail polish and also useful in bringing up the colors.
iii) Top coat is important as well because it locks the color beneath, making sure that your nail arts lasts longer and has an attractive shine to it.
That's it! My humble first try on doing a nail tutorial. I absolutely love this look and it goes perfectly well with any fashion items. Let me know what you guys think on the comment bars below and i'll improve in the future. xoxo.
