When we talk about brunch, there are too many of brunch cafes around. This unique concept of combination between breakfast and lunch did not even exist in our country a decade ago. I always wonder do people really understand and appreciate brunch? Or is it just a mere trend that keeps people chasing because of various influence from social media?
What makes up a good brunch then? To me, it is a simple formula of
good brunch menu+a cup of decent coffee+an empty and grumbling stomach+a cozy environment+a group of close companies.
I want a diverse, compact yet innovative menu that fully utilises the original taste of fresh products, simple, savoury and mouth watering. I want a cup of coffee that can wake me up in an instance after a late night work yesterday. I want to be so hungry that i could eat a horse so that i can stomach all those goodness brunch has to offer. I want to feel at home at a comfortable cafe. Most importantly, i want to be surrounded by people in enjoy hanging out with. This is my ideal brunch.
Anyway, a few weeks ago, my brother and i dropped by Frisson Coffee Bar to grab something for brunch. We were really starving and were hoping for something scrumptious and filling around the town of desserts. Fortunately, Frisson offers set lunch that comes with a selection of main dish, with a drink. We ordered a Scrambled Egg On Oversized Bruchetta and Croissant ala Fusion Chicken. As two crazy coffeeholics, we had to upgrade our drinks by adding 3 bucks to get a cup of Cappucino each.

Frisson's universal menu is a total fit for everyone's palate. My scrambled egg was well done, well seasoned, and i'm loving the crispy bruchetta. Bro's curry chicken croissant was interestingly delicious. Our coffee were all good, just a little tad too milky. The real charm here is the super affordable price and the friendly staffs. Our wallets and tummies were pleased.
Give Frisson Coffee Bar a try, especially during lunch and tea time as they offer some super money worth-it deals. It is not difficult to locate, situated on the same row as all the popular hot spots in Damansara Uptown like Softsrve, The Good Batch, Fat Spoon and more.
