Salmon Craze @ Kura Japanese Restaurant, One World Hotel

Whenever my friends and people around me asking for a recommendation for the best Japanese restaurant in Klang Valley, i'll always answer: KURA Japanese Restaurant, One World Hotel. Ever since my first time dining in Kura 4 years ago, it has always been my to-go place when i crave for good Japanese cuisine. Four years down the road, i am pleased that this place retains their standard and quality, never ever disappoint me. Hence, today i'm going to share with you again, my favourite place for fresh sashimi!
Located on the first floor of One World Hotel, Kura is easily accessible through Old Wing One Utama (Isetan) or from the hotel itself. Parking is not a problem as well. During peak seasons like dinner on the weekends, Kura is usually full and reservation might be required to secure a place. However, my family and i love to visit Kura during lunch time to avoid the crowd and also to enjoy the affordable set lunch menu. For this visit, we ordered an a-la-carte Salmon Sashimi & Avocado Salad and 2 set lunch, which were Salmon Don set and Salmon Sashimi set. Yes, we are THAT crazy for salmon sashimi.

It was my first time trying the salmon sashimi and avocado salad. I was truly amazed by the freshness of greens and salmon sashimi. The best thing for the dish has to be the specially made salad dressing. I could taste a thousand different flavours like orange, lemon zest, sesame oil, radish, onion and more. Of course, the two other set lunch were equally impressive as well. Each pieces of sashimi just melted in my mouth, leaving a trail of lingering richness on my palate.
For the quality of the food we get here, i have to say it is truly affordable and worth the price. Each pieces of salmon we get here were fresh, generous in amount and on-spot with rich flavour. Set lunch menu will be approximately RM 10+ cheaper than usual. If you want to make the most out of your meal, you have to visit Kura in the afternoon. Set lunch menu is available everyday from 12-3pm. Be sure to reward yourself with some great and authentic Nippon meal today! Have a great weekend peeps! xoxo
