Always Have a Plan B

Tadaa!!! Hope i didn't scare you~Bling*

I've been to one of the branches of Plan B few months ago but i didn't blog about it cause i thought the food wasn't impressive enough. That time, i ordered an Egg Benedict and it was such a let down. However, my friends and i decided to give it another shot today and we went to Plan B, Mid Valley for lunch before SHOPPING!!! (girlsbeinggirls). The other branches are located at Bangsar Village I and Paradigm Mall.

yup, that was it, egg benedict.
Plan B restaurant is actually started and developed by The Big Group Enterprise. Under the big flag of this group are also some very well known food outlets like Ben's, B'wiched, The Estate, Ben's General Food Store and more. For so many years, The Big Group has been consistently providing us with great quality food and so does this branch of its.

Plan B's modern Aussie-meets-New York-deli menu boasts hearty breakfasts, contemporary salads, wholesome sandwiches made with freshly baked breads; pastas and a variety of rustic cakes and desserts.

Anyway, this time around, i learnt from my lesson. Instead of going mainstream, i ordered The Loaded Club Sandwich. It is basically grilled chicken, crispy turkey bacon, roasted capsicum and avocado-feta mash stacked on egg mayo spread on home-made white bread. Laine's order is Home-Made Salt Beef Sandwich (melt-in-the-mouth meat with hot English mustard on wholemeal , served with gherkin). Lastly, Sarina's deli was Chicken Burger constructed with herb mayo, turkey bacon crisps, tomato, butterhead lettuce and avocado-feta mash. All 3 dishes are served with home-made chips (yam, sweet potato chips) and salad. Ohh, another plus point, they bake their own BREAD!!!

Laine's Home-Made Salt Beef Sandwich--RM 21

Sarina's Chicken Burger--RM 24

My Loaded Club Sandwich--RM 21

I have to praise Plan B for the excellent execution of the dishes!! It totally changed my mind after dining here today! Unlike the Egg Benedict i had previously, the food served today were all well done. My Loaded Club Sandwich tasted very balanced. The grilled chicken and turkey bacon were well seasoned, roasted capsicum produced sufficient acidity to the dish. The smoothness of the avocado-feta mash and egg mayo blended all the flavors together, making this a memorable one. The only downside is the bread i had wasn't very crispy on the last 2 layers. I love the idea of adapting some local ingredients such as yam and sweet potato into the menu. The green salad dressed with spices and nuts (pistachio, pumpkin seeds and more) was refreshing enough.

To end up a scrumptious and enjoyable meal, we ordered a Chocolate Cookies Bar to take away. It's just a simple butter cookies coated with thick and creamy chocolate, but it was simply delicious and sinful at the same time.
Tadaa, sinful little things..RM 5

The ambience and food is pleasant, the price is affordable. It'll costs Rm 15-RM 30 per person, and the portion is BIG! However, the service i experienced is average, i guess the waiters were too occupied when we dined there during lunch hour. It is a busy yet cosy restaurant, excellent for business meetings and talk over coffee and cakes.
