Haze Attack, N Defense!

17:40

Good day readers, or should i say, gloomy day? Well, i'm sure most of you are aware of Malaysia's current situation--the hazardous haze attack! Thanks to our dear neighbour. I hope everyone is taking proper safety precautions. Please stay indoor if you can, drink lots of water, eat plenty of fruits and vegetables to boost up your immune system. If you have to go out, make sure you wear a mask and try to stay away from the road. Anyway, this post is all about Nitrogen ice-cream that i tried out few weeks ago, and hopefully this will chill you guys down a little bit.

Few weeks ago, i went to N Brew Nitrogen Ice-Cream in Mid Valley. As you can see from the post title: 'N' stands for nitrogen. It was my first time trying out nitrogen ice-cream so i was like super excited! Nitrogen ice-cream is basically ice-cream made from some special ingredients but frozen in mere minutes by mixing with liquid nitrogen. The cooling process is so fast compared to the conventional way where you have to mix the cream forever to get the perfect consistency. This is the new way of eating ice-cream and of course, as a foodie, i have got to try it out myself!

N Brew first started their business in e@Curve few months ago, this is one of their branches in Klang Valley. When comes to Nitrogen ice-cream, of course i have to try out some unique flavors which we don't get to try everyday. Hence, i picked up Gula Melaka Avocado and Creme Brulee to share among the 3 of us.

Gula Melaka Avocado

Each flavor comes in 2 scoops with wafer beneath. Well i love the consistency of nitrogen ice-cream here. It is somehow a little bit firmer and creamier than normal ice-cream. It is also more heat-tolerant, in other words, not so easily melted. I love the creme brulee top with some caramel sauce. It wasn't too sweet and i could taste some vanilla seeds inside, means they used natural ingredients to make their ice-cream. Thumbs up* I wasn't impressed by the Gula Melaka Avocado as i find it a bit too hard, perhaps they poured in too much liquid nitrogen? The gula melaka essence also severely lacked, i could only taste the mild avocado.

These are actually their pre-mixed ice-cream in conical flasks

Beaker and test tubes, how i miss you!!

Cool huh?

Overall, it was a pleasant experience here in N Brew. The staffs are very friendly and helpful, environment was cool with plenty of chemical lab apparatus. The price per cup is around RM 10-15, a bit on the high side, but you can always share with a friend or two as the portion is big. Lastly, take care alright? I will also stay home and cook or bake perhaps? Hopefully it'll rain tonight! Fingers crossed* xoxo

  1. Hi,

Thank you for visiting NBrew and appreciate your review. We will be providing gula melaka syrups on top of all future gula melaka avocado's gelato. The gula melaka was added just enough to make it not too sweet, but we will improve it!. Thanks again for your feedback
