Beautiful Morning @ Feeka, Jalan Mesui

01:00

Ever wonder what would life be, without responsibility, jobs, work, worries, stress, conflicts and all the things revolving in your mind when you open your eyes in the morning? I always wanted to wake up naturally, to the things and people that i love, without thinking ahead on the day's plan, my outfit, my attitude, my life. Life would be better if every day is filled with freedom and leisure. Well, that's not really possible in my life, but i'm grateful with just a day or two living lazily. Anyway, today's super delayed post is all about my lazy morning breakfast in Feeka, Jalan Mesui. We took a break from the hectic exam-filled week and landed in the hidden mess of Bukit Bintang to find ourselves a good cup of coffee and delicious breakfast.

Feeka is located in the border of Bukit Bintang, along Jalan Mesui, near to Changkat pubs. It is rather tricky to find, so i suggest you to get a GPS along. Aside from that, parking can be a major problem as there are absolutely no parking space in front of the cafe. You can either choose to pay RM 5 to park at an open space 100 meters away or just park inside the basement car park opposite of Feeka.

You can come in anytime from 9am-10am and you will be entitled to 2-for-1 promotion on all Feeka's coffee. I had a cup of Flat White while he had a cup of Cappuccino. We also ordered Feeka Big Breakfast and a slice of Lemon Poppy Seed Cake to end our breakfast.

The photos are unexpectedly good, thanks to the beautiful sunlight on a cheerful Saturday morning. Let's begin with the coffee. Feeka's claim on their coffee making skill is no hoax after all. Their coffee is everything about the standard package of a good cuppa: beautiful coffee art, smooth texture, fragrant coffee, sufficient caffeine punch. The main of the day, Feeka Big Breakfast was a little bit disappointing though. First of all, how can one mess up a sunny side up on a big breakfast? For me, sunny side up's yolk must be runny yet able to stand firm. However, in this case, it was obviously overcooked. The bacon was lean and moist, sauteed mushroom was flavorful as well. Another downfall for this dish is the excessive grease on the plate which might turn off some's appetite. Thank God for the fantastic dessert which saved the day! The Lemon Poppy Seed Cake has made it to my favourite cake of the year! It is simply because the amazingly moist texture, spiced up with poppy seeds and lemon zest worked incredibly well for me. More than that, its optimum sweetness contrasted with slight acidity from the lemon elevated this dessert to a whole new level. Kudos Feeka!

My satisfied look says it all!
Outdoor happens to be a better choice in the morning before the heat strikes.

We did enjoy ourselves a lot here in Feeka. The food was alright, staffs were lovely and the setting of the cafe was cozy, calm and cheerful. Aside from some flaws with the main, i would definitely revisit Feeka for a taste of Lemon Poppy Seed Cake again, as well as their freshly baked pastries and coffee! It is an excellent place for a weekend brunch with loved ones! Pricing was slightly above average, approximately RM 30+ per person. Another good thing with Feeka is the nett pricing without taxes. That's all for this week's update, please stay tuned for more exciting reviews! xoxo
