Wake up for breakfast @ TableTalk, TTDI

17:01

Jolly Saturday everyone! As the holiday season is approaching, i'm here to write about a breakfast spot i visited not long ago in Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI). Introducing TableTalk Cafe!

Although i always go to TTDI for food and errands but surprisingly i never noticed this corner-lot restaurant. It is situated off Jalan Datuk Sulaiman, on the way to One Utama from Penchala link. It is rather easy to access especially to locals. Me and my parents were looking for good breakfast around the area and to our surprise, we passed by this petite cafe which spells food from afar. I knew it's gonna be awesome. I am such a visual child right?

Real Food, Tastes Good..see, told you i saw 'food' lol
It was mid-morning, since the lunch menu was not ready yet, we decided to go for their brunch sets. We were offered a few types of items, we finally decided to go with Deconstructed Eggs Benedict, The Ultimate Brekkie and Fluffy Pancakes. All brunch sets comes with a complimentary cup of brewed coffee or Long Black or Espresso Solo or Tea. It is available from as early as 8.00am-11.30am.

Daily brewed coffee~

Daddy's choice: The Ultimate Brekkie--RM 18
Two farm eggs (fried/scrambled), turkey ham, sausages, baked beans, rosti potatoes and lightly sauteed greens, served with wholemeal toast.

Mummy's choice: Fluffy Pancakes--RM 12
Made-to-order pancakes served with fresh fruits, maple syrup and butter.

My chocie: Deconstructed Eggs Benedict--RM 15
Turkey ham and poached eggs topped with Hollandaise sauce. Served with homemade baked beans, mushrooms, side salad and wholemeal toast.

My way of eating it--stack-them-up!

Ohh, the glorious runny yolk! *Love it
I guess the visual matches up with the taste. I absolutely love my deconstructed eggs benedict! Firstly, the poached eggs were made to perfection, the ratio of runny yolk and solid white was almost perfect! The Hollandaise sauce was surprisingly pleasant. I seldom find Hollandaise sause appealing because it was always too rich, thick and yucky, but TableTalk's version of it really blew my mind. It was nothing like the above, but has a sweet twist within. The Ultimate Brekkie was the conventional breakfast set most of the cafe offer. However, i love TableTalk's effort in making their own baked beans rather than using the canned ones. It tastes alright too. Mother's pick on Fluffy Pancakes was a pass as well. Its texture was indeed fluffy like its name suggested, the egg versus flour ratio was just right. I love the addition of mandarin orange in the dish, gave a unique twist into the dish. However, i would appreciate if they serve the maple syrup separately in a container because towards the end, the lowest pancake soaked up too much sugar, tasted extremely diabetic.

modern and simple interior

My love for staring outside the window!!

I was very satisfied with the food, service, ambiance and the price was acceptable too. Each person costs about RM 18. I would say it is value for money. If you are looking for a tranquil and relaxing place to eat, drink and meet or work, TableTalk is the perfect answer! Have a merry, jolly, happy holiday peeps! Stay tuned for more exciting updates on food and lifestyle! xoxo
