Jibby & Co, Empire Shopping Gallery

13:10

ALOHA Saturday! After a week of hiatus, yours truly is back with more exciting food review to share with you guys! Looking at my pending posts and all those tempting photos in my lappy, i just can't wait to write and share with you guys some of the amazing food i've tried for the past 2 weeks. Well, today, i'm gonna write about a new invader in Subang that brings lots of excitement and of course great food and coffee to the neighbourhood. It is none other than the uprising Jibby & Co, in Subang Empire Shopping Gallery.

Jibby & Co got its name from the owner, Najib, a Malaysian that has a tremendous experience in culinary world and was greatly inspired by the Australian food culture. The whole restaurant embraces an open concept in its interior setting. It is made out of glass and wooden panel, giving the customers a sense of greenhouse's natural ambiance. I love how the simple layout of Jibby & Co gave us the ultimate relaxing dining experience.

The restaurant was pretty crowded and we were put on the waiting list of 30 minutes before seated. Therefore, i strongly recommend you to make a reservation before visiting in, especially during weekends. As mentioned, Jibby & Co's menu is clearly Australian inspired, with a tinge of local twist. I ordered their Casablanca Baked Eggs with a cup of Latte to go with, while my fellow foodie had a Three Layer Lasagna.

Casablanca's Eggs--RM 28+
Baked Eggs with homemade chicken sausages, ras el hanout and lemon zest spiced Napoli served with Turkish bread

I absolutely love my dish here. It is more than your typical tomato based baked eggs. Firstly, the eggs were well done. They were hard on the white and runny on the yolk, which is the perfect consistency that i was looking for. Sausages were well flavored and the sauce was heavily spiced with goodness and flavors. I would certainly prefer the toast to be crunchier and the cheese to be more generously spread.

Three Layer Lasagna--RM 32+Lasagna with beef, mushrooms, roma tomatoes and basil sauce
Thumbs up for this dish as well! Jibby & Co outdone itself again by creating this unconventional lasagna with flavorful filling and taste. I like the combination of sour tomato sauce and creamy basil sauce. It gives a perfect balance between citrus and cream. The addition of toasted bread on top gave a variety in texture. Overall, it is a hearty dish for people has a love for a good old Italian flavor.

Cafe Latte--RM 11+

No doubt that the coffee from Jibby & Co had made it to one of my favourites so far. This small cup of caffeine offers a huge range of wonderful elements. It tasted very smooth generally and the coffee was filled with the perfect amount of acidity, earthy flavor and was not astringent at all. It lingers in your palate for quite a comfortable period and is very memorable indeed.

Overall, i am quite pleased with my dining experience here in Jibby & Co. The staffs were swift and efficient, food was pleasant and unique, and their coffee was to die for. I would definitely return to grab another cup of caffeine. Pricing is above average, costing RM 40+ per person. To those that wonder where is it located, Jibby & Co is a stand-alone building outside of Empire Shopping Gallery, near to the Tangs entrance. I hope you enjoy this write up and i will talk to you guys very soon! Have a wonderful weekend! xoxo.
