Wake Up to Coffeeric @ Elit Avenue

22:44

Hello dear readers! I guess it's about time for some update on Penang's cafe again! This time, i wanna share with you a humble cafe i visited some time ago in Elit Avenue that serves great coffee and simple food. Introducing Coffeeric at Elit Avenue.

Elit Avenue is actually a Soho building in Bayan Baru, opposite of Pantai Hospital. It houses numerous shop lots, business centers, offices while hosting luxurious condominium on the higher levels. It is a relatively new development, around the mature neighbourhood. Parking is available within the compound of this building. Coffeeric is located on the Ground Floor of Elit Avenue, right next to St. Presso Coffee.

I hopped over to this cafe with my dearest mommy for a relaxing brunch, since it is near to our hut. It was early in the morning, thus we had the whole cafe space to ourselves. We ordered 2 breakfast sets which come with a cup of Long Black. My mom had the Smoked Salmon Bagel while i had the Avocado Toast with Poached Egg.

I was totally in love with how these photos turned out, so gorgeous, thanks to the soft lighting and warm ambiance in Coffeeric. First of all, food was on point. Both of our breakfast sets were flavourful, satisfying and memorable. Their homemade bagel was so delicious, with the generous poppy seeds, giving the bagel more texture and flavours. Smoked salmon and cream cheese on bagel is the most popular combination ever, but Coffeeric elevated the standard of this common dish with the addition of capers. I'm also happy with my Avocado Toast as the poached egg was cooked to perfecion. My only complaint was the avocado spread could be a little bit more in amount and i would appreciate some avocado slices to be served to increase the value of this meal. Otherwise, the avocado spread is really bland and tasted more like pesto. Nevertheless, the coffee was the perfect starter and ending for our meal. It was strong, acidic, rich and bitter at the same time. Add on a little bit of brown sugar and milk, and voila, you just turned this Long Black into a complex drink with multiple dimensions of flavor.

Overall, the mother and daughter were pretty pleased with the service, food and experience here in Coffeeric. The staffs were so friendly and helpful, managed to carve a wide smile on your sleepy blogger. Guys who are looking for hearty breakfast and most importantly good coffee in Penang, be sure to give this cafe a try! Have a great week ahead! xoxo
