Mr & Ms Cafe, Oasis Ara Damansara

Seeing the name of this cafe instantly grabbed my attention. I first noticed it through Instagram, seeing photos of friends posing with the signature 'kissing lips' and 'mustache' hand piece. Not until one random morning, whereby my mum asked me 'hey, let's go for brunch!', only i recalled there is this unique new hang out place in Oasis, Ara Damansara and therefore, the daughter and mum gave their first visit to this cafe.

It took first timers like us a good 15 minutes to locate the cafe

the simple menu
Actually, Oasis Ara Damansara is very near from where i stayed but we seldom go there (dunno why). I was quite surprised with the amount of shops and restaurants that developed in Oasis. Now, i have more reasons to gain weight. Ohh well :/ Anyway, we went there quite early, around 10.30am, so there wasn't a lot of customers. We ordered a Mr. & Ms. Breakfast Platter for me and a Toppers for mummy. Coffee of the day was Cafe Latte.

Cafe Latte
I wonder why coffee makers nowadays don't make interesting coffee art anymore?
Mr. & Ms. Breakfast Platter--RM 19.90
Mini Pancakes with Grilled Banana+Muesli with Roasted Nuts & Yogurt+Fresh Seasonal Fruit Salad

appreciate the cute little milk bottle
Toppers--RM 15.90
Fried Eggs, Turkey Ham, Avocado and Melted Mozarella Cheese on Toast
The verdict is: mediocre. I truly appreciate the fact that they created some special and creative breakfast menu such as my 'Mr. & Ms. Breakfast Platter'. It was healthy, new and perfect for ladies who wish to cut down on their waist line. However, the execution was far from its vision. Everything on the plate was plain and average. My mum's Toppers was a let down as well. The addition of avocado was quite unique but the serving was pretty small for the price that we are paying. Overall, i would say the menu was ambitious but the execution needs more improvement.

On the good side, the cafe's modern Australian design is optimum for daily meetings, gathering or even family get-together. The service was ok, but i don't fancy the pricing. It costs around RM 25 per person for breakfast/brunch. In my humble opinion, it was not worth the money. Anyway, i would still give it a second try in the future, crossing fingers for more improvement on the food. Till then, have a wonderful day ahead. Peace out.
